Elizabeth and Christopher’s wedding took place at a palace known as the Portuguese Versaille, its gardens and large palace fit for a princess. Talk about a royal wedding! 

For this intimate celebration on a summer’s day, we selected the garden area, with the fountain at its centre for the celebration. One of the last great rococo buildings in Europe, this 18th century palace wowed guests, who enjoyed a stroll through the gardens as they sipped cocktails under the setting sun, a string quartet setting the scene.

The dinner reception, held in the palace’s ballroom, was anchored by high floral centrepieces and light cream and mint tones that complemented the gilded interior of the ballroom. The guests had free reign to explore the palace and dance the night away into the early morning hours.
